concepts
Positive interference - adds to create a bigger wave
Anti node - the maximums and minimums of a wave
Non Constructive interference - makes a smaller wave
Node - area between a wave
Doppler Effect - the change in frequency because of the the motion of a source
Resonance - creating a wave when unnatural vibrations are equal to the natural wavelength/frequency
Sound waves - created by the vibrations of material objects; compression and rarefaction
Compression - When the waves push together and pull apart
Frequency - how often a vibration occurs in Hertz, or cycles per second
Period - amount of time between waves [period = 1 / frequency]
Wave - disturbance or vibration through something
Wave Speed = Wave length x Frequency
Transverse waves - move up and down
Longitudinal waves - moves compression horizontally
Anti node - the maximums and minimums of a wave
Interference - adding two waves together
Pitch - due to varying frequency, creates different notes that we hear

The Build a Band project was a very fun project. Everything I learned about sound waves in this project, I didn't know before. I really liked the creative freedom we had on the instruments. We could literally make what ever we wanted to only rule was it had to play all the notes. Our group was a really fun group, I enjoyed really enjoyed them. Our group was very detail oriented, we never left anything with splintery edges. We kept everything clean and easy to use. The only thing we had trouble with was staying in the group. that's the thing we have to work on. the other thing was that we had trouble staying focused on the writing side of things. I learned so much about strings, winds, and chimes through this project. I had no idea that there was so much perfection in the music world and through this project. Now I understand that music is very complex. Now I am so much more inclined then ever before. Who would of known science would teach me the most about music. This project was definitely the best and I look forward to more projects just like these in the future.
