Description:
Our group started out by researching a problem to do our project on. After research we decided to pick blackouts, which seemed like a good idea because they happen a lot during the winter time. Next we did some more research on the problem and we found out that stored solar energy would be pretty cool to make, we brainstormed some ideas on how we would put mini solar panels on a doll house. when we figured out our idea we got to building.
When we first started building we were having some measurement problems that died away soon after. When we got all of our measurements correct on the wood we gave them to Mr. Williams to cut out our pieces. After a long time cutting we finally had all of our pieces to glue together. We started glueing with no delay, because we knew it would take a long time, because of all the pieces we had to put together, this took about three hours to get the whole house done. After we finished building we charged our dollar tree solar panels and drilled one whole in each side of the roof and stuck the light into it so we had two roof lights in the attic. Finally for our finishing touch we put on some little Christmas lights because it was around Christmas time.
Reflection:
In this project I learned that some people work faster than others in different places, because some people do better at written work and some do better at hands on work. I also learned that Our group really had trouble staying on track because people were using there phones for things that weren't school related. We also had some trouble with some measurements of the wood at first, because one piece was bigger than the other.
Our group in all worked really well together, by having very good communication and doing all different kinds of work at different times. This helped us stay together as a team and a group.
